Sharron Domingo's Biography

Sharron Domingo began her career in art instruction over 35 years ago teaching fine arts, crafts and pottery at local elementary schools in Burbank, CA, where she raised her four children. Her studies in printmaking, ceramics, painting and art history ranged from Los Angeles Valley College, to Antelope Valley College, the Creative Arts Center under the direction of Claude Hulce, and with such well- respected mentors as Harvey Ruben and Nelson Christie.

Her experience as an artist extended into the costuming industry in which she held clients such as Universal Studios, Alaska Airlines, Western Airlines, Glendale Centre Theater, K106 FM in Texas, numerous schools, theaters, film and businesses as well as designing wardrobe for the official “Lucy”, Suzanne La Rusch.

Sharron has always loved working with children and is dedicated to building self-esteem as well as creative expression. She has taught art for church camps, through independent studios, Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks Department and privately from her home studio in Tehachapi, CA. Sharron has joined in showings with well- known artist and friend, Alice Nathan in galleries from Tehachapi to Paso Robles. Recently, she was a guest lecturer at the “Creativity Symposium” sponsored by the City of Santa Clarita under the direction of Rene’ Urbanovich, founder of “With Song, etc.”, a company dedicated to enriching the community through music & the arts.

She loves her four grown children, sons and daughter-in-laws, 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Even after nearly 46 years of marriage to her husband Tony, Sharron still enjoys working beside him. She relaxes by writing poetry, children’s books, songwriting and the beautiful outdoors.
